Multichoice has officially confirmed that the eighth season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) would be tagged the All Stars Season.
Housemates from seasons as far back as Double Wahala would get an opportunity to come back into the house to play a game that guarantees the winner a 120 million naira cash prize aside from all other goodies.
The show, scheduled to premiere on Sunday, July 23, 2023, would be filled with twists and turns. Activities like the Head of House challenge, the Live eviction shows, the pool parties, and Saturday raves would be in place, while Big Brother also introduces a new activity called the Black Eviction Show.
Aside from this thirty fans also stand a chance of winning 1 million naira each if they correctly predict the top three housemates.
Speaking to Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head, Content & West Africa Channels at MultiChoice Nigeria, she revealed that although the season is an all stars season, it does not mean that the show would be slowing down anytime soon.
“As we do every season is different from the previous one, and this would not be any different. Right after the show we are already making plans for a new season, and we are not slowing down anytime soon,” she said.
She disclosed during the press conference that the housemates were all chosen based on broad criteria. “We had a very broad criteria. One, the person has to fit into the season, which is the all stars season, meaning that the person has to be in a previous season. Two, we look at the personality profiles, and see who should fit and be on the show,” she added.
BBNaija would be showing on Africa Magic Channels and streaming on Showmax.
