The highly anticipated ministerial list of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday finally arrived at the Nigerian Senate.
Naija News reports that the Godswill Akpabio-led Senate is now expected to screen and confirm the ministerial nominees.
Note that the Fifth Amendment of Nigeria’s 1999 constitution stipulates that the president and governors must submit their ministerial and commissioner lists to the Senate or state House of Assembly, respectively, for approval within the first 60 days of their reign.
The highly anticipated list is reportedly made up of politicians from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and technocrats from the private sector.
