Arise TV host, Rufai Oseni, has reacted to the ongoing ministerial screening at the Senate, describing it as a ‘bloody daylight joke’.

Naija News reports that amidst the controversy that trailed the ministerial nomination list of President Bola Tinubu last week, the senate commenced the screening and confirmation of the 28-man list today.

A two-time member of the House of Representatives, Abubakar Momoh, who was the first ministerial nominee to be screened before the Senate, was told to ‘bow and go’ after answering only one question without any further screening.

Similarly, former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, after reeling out his Curriculum Vitae and achievements, noted that his passion for Nigeria propelled him to accept the ministerial offer.

A lawmaker in his comment said Wike is the best in Rivers State.

The Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio, thereafter told him to take a bow and leave.

Reacting to this, Rufai, in a post via his Twitter page, frowned at the move, stating that the ministerial screening looks like a scene from the stage play of veteran actor, Moses Olaiya, popularly known as Baba Sala.

He tweeted, “Over 5m people are with a nominee, take a bow. Here we go again. Our screening is a bloody daylight joke. Our ministerial screening looks like a scene from Baba Sala!, probably a scene from Baba kwete oni le goolu.

“No depth in our senators questions. Nigeria sha, the standards are low”
