RCMP investigating suspicious fires near Lac La Biche

Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Alberta Wildfire have determined a series of fires were set deliberately near Lac La Biche.

Police said several fires were reported between April 22 and May 22 along Highway 881 between Anzac and Lac La Biche. Mounties said all fires were contained quickly without damage to structures in the area.

As investigations continue, the RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance to report any suspicious activity during this time.

Lac La Biche is about 215 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
