Former member of the House of Representatives Shina Peller has paid a condolence visit to Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, in Cotonou, Benin Republic, over the death of his mother, Sikirat Adeyemo.
Peller shared photos of his visit on Instagram on Friday, he said: “Yesterday, I paid a condolence visit to my brother, Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, in Cotonou, Benin Republic over the demise of his loving mother, Mama Sikirat Abeo Adeyemo.
“Though, mama’s death is very painful, I urged my brother to take solace in the fact that mama lived a purposeful and fulfilled life; she left good legacies behind one of which is Sunday Igboho himself.
“So, I enjoined him to remain strong why I prayed that mama’s soul finds peace with God. I also pray that God gives Sunday Igboho, his siblings and other family members the fortitude to bear her loss, particularly at this point in time. Amen.”
Peller, the Ayedero of Yorubaland, prayed for the soul of the deceased to find rest.
In his response, Sunday Igboho thanked Peller for the visit and seized the opportunity to share some of the good memories of his late mother with him.
He described his late mother as loving, spiritual, all-embracing, nurturing, ever supportive, encouraging and a source of inspiration.
