Chelsea have agreed to sell Moroccan winger, Hakim Ziyech to the Turkish side, Galatasaray this summer after two failed transfer attempts.
Hakim Ziyech is expected to undergo his medical examination with the Super Lig club in the coming days.
The 30-year-old is now surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and the club have been making efforts to sell him since January.
In January, he was on the verge of joining Paris Saint Germain, but Chelsea reportedly failed to submit the appropriate documents before the winter transfer window closed.
Earlier this summer, Hakim Ziyech was very close to joining Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr but the deal failed after the Moroccan winger failed his medical examination.
Recall that Chelsea paid £33.3 million to sign Ziyech from Ajax in 2020. Since then, he has played 107 times for the Premier League side in all competitions.
The Moroccan international was a vital member of the Moroccan squad that advanced to the 2022 World Cup semifinals in Qatar, becoming the first African side to do so, but couldn’t enjoy such prominence at Chelsea.
He lost his influence at Chelsea almost completely when American businessman Todd Boehly and his Clearlake consortium took over the club in May 2022, thanks to a huge player spending spree that totaled close to £900 million.
Ziyech did not accompany Chelsea on their preseason tour of the United States earlier this summer, and since he wasn’t assigned a squad number for the 2023-2024 Premier League season, he was not a member of the matchday squad for last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
