Former Minister of States for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the appointment of Nigerian journalist and Editor, Ajuri Ngelale as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Naija News reports that Ngelale’s appointment was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) and signed by the Director of Information of the office, Willie Bassey.
The statement disclosed that the appointment takes effect from 31st July 2023 and would terminate at the end of the current administration unless otherwise decided by President Tinubu.
This news platform recalls that Ngelale was a Senior Special Assistant for Public Affairs in the immediate past administration of Muhammadu Buhari.
Ngelale took to his Twitter page on Monday night to express his appreciation to President Tinubu with a promise to give Nigeria his best as always.
He wrote: “I am most humbled and honoured by H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recognition of the need for more hard work ahead as I have been appointed as his Official Spokesperson & Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity.
“I will give 🇳🇬 my best as always. I love you all”
Reacting to the post, Keyamo congratulated Ngelale and prayed that God would grant him wisdom to discharge his responsibilities.
He tweeted: “Hearty congratulations to my friend, brother and my very able Assistant in the last campaign. May God grant you the wisdom to discharge your responsibilities”
