They say the higher you go, the hotter it gets. Although it’s just nine housemates left in the Big Brother house, the game has gotten more intense. Yesterday, the all-stars had what might be the last diary session for some of them. The air in the diary room was different as some of the housemates showed a bit more vulnerability than usual.
Venita had quite a lot to say to Biggie about recent events in the house that left her surprised. The first, of course, was that the “secret admirer” behind the letter Adekunle received was Angel, and not Doyin as she suspected. She mentioned that she suspected Doyin because she had sent out letters to other housemates that day, and that she owed Doyin an apology for suspecting her.
She also talked about how last week’s Head of House, Cross, wanted to “scam” the housemates by shopping at his discretion and not according to how the housemates placed their orders. She further expressed that the Head of House game brought back memories of a traumatic experience she had when she was younger.
Angel’s diary session was also quite emotional. She came into the diary room with a heavy heart and shed some tears as she expressed her disappointment in herself for not winning the HOH games. She was hurt by the fact that she always came close in the games, but never won. She was, however, able to console herself with the fact that she had gotten to the penultimate week.
Adekunle spent quite some time in the diary room as usual, and for him, it was majorly an introspection session. He reflected on his journey in the Big Brother house with gratitude. According to him, the house brings out another side of his personality and looks, which he calls ‘the best’, and he was thankful for that. He also expressed gratitude for his heightened awareness throughout his stay in the house. He explained that he had become more sensitive to the housemates’ behaviour patterns and that more often than not, his suspicions of them were correct.
The other housemates mostly expressed gratitude for making it to the 9th week of the show.
