A 40-year-old man found dead while walking his dog in Victoria has been remembered as a loving husband and father who was expecting his third child.
Paul Grapsas left to walk his dog near his home on Western Beach Road in Geelong at about 11pm on Thursday.
His wife, Jessica, woke about 4am on Friday and found the dog at home but her husband hadn’t returned.
She went outside to have a look around and found her husband dead, suffering head injuries, next to his car on nearby Malone Street.
Police said the exact circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be determined but it was being treated as suspicious.
His family told 9News the father was “a man of integrity who was happiest when surrounded by his family, friends and church community”.
“He was a devoted father of two beautiful young children and expecting a third on the way and had just received a promotion at his workplace,” his family said.
“Known and respected in the community, a skilled sportsman who loved golf, fishing and video games.
“Paul will be dearly and desperately missed by all those he loved and who loved him.
“Please respect the privacy for the family during this tragic time.”
