A nine-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Brisbane's south.
The boy was hit by a car travelling west on Alawoona Street, just after Ingles Drive, in Redbank Plains about 7pm last night.
"The boy was transported to hospital where he remains in a critical condition," Queensland Police said in a statement.

The boy is in Queensland Children's Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
