Thousands in counterfeit notes have been seized following the arrest of eight alleged criminals in Melbourne.
A group of eight men, allegedly armed with knives, were seen entering a car park on Flinders Street at about 9.50am Saturday.
One man was seen throwing knives under a vehicle as officers approached them, police alleged.

A small amount of cocaine and $5000 in counterfeit notes was found on a 26-year-old following a search of the car park.
The man has been arrested and will face court on October 25.
Five kitchen knives, two hunting knives and a machete were also located in the car park by Police.
A 24-year-old man was issued a penalty notice for possessing a controlled weapon.
A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged for an outstanding warrant.
He was granted bail and will face Werribee Magistrates' Court on February 18, 2024.
