Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake, has won Album Of The Year at the 16th Headies Award held in Atlanta, United States, on Sunday, September 3, 2023, with his debut album ‘Mr. Money with the Vibe’.
The 28-year-old singer beat other albums like “Love Damini” by Burna Boy, Rema’s “Rave & Roses,” “Boy Alone” by Omah Lay, and Victony’s “Outlaw,” which were nominated for the category to win the prestigious award.
Released on September 7, 2022, through Empire Distribution, the album comprises 12 tracks, all produced by Magicsticks and featuring two guest appearances from Russ and Burna Boy.
Asake was also crowned the 2023 Headies Next Rated award-winner.
