You'll also cross over several famous bridges including the curved Frankenstein Trestle and the towering Willey Brook Bridge.</p><p>Whether you're a railway enthusiast or not, the train itself is also a big part of the experience. The passenger cars are designed to recreate the post-WWII transcontinental train journeys, complete with deluxe upper dome seating if you want to ride in style and experience panoramic views (for an extra cost, naturally). You can even add a lunch option if you want to snack while soaking up the golden foliage.</p><p>If you'd prefer a shorter trip, there's also the <a href="https://www.conwayscenic.com/excursions/sawyer-river-excursion/">Sawyer River Excursion</a>, which clocks in at just over 2 hours. You'll still get the charming river views and historic vibes as you ride vintage cars along this historic route. It's quite a bit shorter than the Mountaineer but still packs in plenty of picturesque moments, especially as the train crosses over scenic bridges en route.</p><p>If two hours still sounds too long, the <a href="https://www.conwayscenic.com/excursions/conway-excursion/">Conway Valley Train</a> journey is only 55 minutes long and covers 11 miles.
