This <a href="https://www.mtlblog.com/transport-canada-vehicle-recalls-sept-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recall</a> follows five reports of infant deaths where the swings were used for sleep, which should never be done, according to Health Canada.</p><p>"If the product is used for sleep or bedding material is added, the headrest and body support insert on the seat pad can increase the risk of suffocation," the <a href="https://recalls-rappels.canada.ca/en/alert-recall/fisher-price-snuga-swings-recalled-due-suffocation-hazard" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recall notice</a> says.</p><p>The recall includes 12 different Fisher-Price Snuga Swing models, manufactured by Mattel Inc. If you have one of the following products, check the model number on the underside of the swing's motor compartment:</p><ul><li>My Little Snugabunny Swing (CCF38)</li><li>My Little Snugabear Cradle 'n Swing (CHM56)</li><li>My Little Snugabear Ballerina Cradle 'n Swing (CHM69)</li><li>Moonlight Meadow Swing (CHM78)</li><li>Sweet Snugapuppy Swing (DRG43)</li><li>Fawn Meadows Deluxe Swing (GNG38)</li><li>Peek-a-boo Fox Swing (GNG40)</li><li>Dots & Spots Puppy Swing (GVF83)</li><li>My Little Snugabunny Cradle 'n Swing (V0099)</li><li>My Little Sweetie Deluxe Cradle ‘n Swing (W9510)</li><li>My Little SnugaMonkey Cradle 'n Swing (X7051)</li><li>My Little Snugapuppy Cradle 'n Swing (X7345)</li></ul><p>If you own one of these swings, Health Canada advises that you should stop using it immediately, remove the headrest and body support insert, and contact Mattel for a partial refund.
