A woman has died after a ceiling collapsed on top of her at a home north-west of Brisbane in Queensland.
The 64-year-old was standing in the kitchen of a house in East Nanango this afternoon when the ceiling caved in, trapping her beneath the rubble.
Emergency services arrived about 1.30pm and tried to free her.

They performed CPR but she died at the scene.
An investigation has been launched and is expected to examine whether the ceiling collapse may have been the result of a home renovation gone wrong.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
