An allegedly drunk woman has caused chaos when she swerved off the road and her vehicle caught fire with three children inside in Adelaide's north-east.
9News understands the woman blew 0.319, more than six times the legal limit, when she was breath tested by police after the crash at the intersection of Montacute and Stradbroke in Newton.
Police allege she was travelling with four other passengers, three of them children, when the Holden Barina caught fire.

"It is poor decision-making that puts people at risk and others on the road at risk," Commissioner Grant Stevens said.
The woman was immediately hit with a 12-month driving suspension.
She will face court at a later date.
