An Amber Alert issued for a 40-year-old blind, non-verbal woman who was allegedly abducted in a stolen vehicle Thursday evening was quickly rescinded after the woman was located safe.
Edmonton police issued the 8:27 p.m. emergency alert for a 40-year-old woman who was allegedly abducted from a stolen vehicle at 7:25 p.m. in the area of 118 Avenue and 91 Street.
The alert was cancelled at 9:01 p.m. after woman was located safe. In an email update, Edmonton police said she was located just outside of Edmonton’s city limits, however, a suspect had not yet been found.
Police said the driver of the vehicle is unknown and may have fled on foot.
