Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is set to provide special park-and-ride service for fans planning on cheering on the Oilers in the 2023 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic

Doors at Clarke Stadium open at 1 p.m. for a pre-game concert. ETS says park-and-ride buses will start running at 12:45 p.m. and continue every 10 minutes. They can be taken from the following locations:

  • Davies Transit Centre (100 Davies Station NW at the corner of 75 Street and Wagner Road)
  • Eaux Claires Transit Centre (97 Street and 157 Avenue)
  • Lewis Farms Transit Centre (1021 Webber Greens Drive) — arrive early as this location has limited parking spots due to Valley Line West LRT construction.
  • NAIT Lots A/B and D (109 Street and 118 Avenue) — parking is $6 at these lots.
  • Nakî Transit Centre (15520 Campbell Road)

Fans can also park at Clareview Transit Centre (48 Street and 139 Avenue), and Belvedere Transit Centre (62 Street and 129 Avenue) before taking the Capital LRT Line to Commonwealth Stadium for the game. Meanwhile, bus routes 2, 3 and 101 will also be providing service to Commonwealth Stadium.

Doors at Commonwealth Stadium open at 3 p.m. and buses will run every five minutes. Buses will keep running after the game until everybody leaves, ETS said.

Regular rates apply

Regular fares apply during the game, and ETS is asking people to plan ahead and buy their transit tickets in advance to avoid the lines on-site, noting there are limited vending machines at LRT stations.

Transit ticket options range from loading the Arc cards for regular transit users and buying a book of 10 paper tickets or a Family/Day pass at a sales outlet for fans who live outside of Edmonton. Arc tickets can also be purchased in advance at LRT stations using a debit or credit card.

Doors of Commonwealth will open two hours prior to puck drop, and fans are encouraged to arrive and enter early to go through security screening lines. Supervised bike parking around the Clarke Stadium area will also be available.

The City of Edmonton asks people to visit the 2023 Heritage Classic Fan Guide before coming to the game.
