I write with deep concern about statements attributed to Ms. Monique LaGrange, trustee in the Red Deer Catholic Regional School Board. The news media reported of Ms. LaGrange’s social media post in which she compared children waving a rainbow flag with that of children waving Nazi swastika flags and a caption saying, “brainwashing is brainwashing.” Various media houses have reported that Ms. LaGrange said she was following the direction of the Holy Spirit in making her social media post.
