A woman has been left stunned after a great white shark mauled her first prized tuna catch off in South Australia.
Izzy Sesto and her mates were targeting tuna off the coast of Cape Jaffa when they got the fright of their lives.
"It definitely would have been three-metres-plus," Sesto said.
"It obviously wasn't a big monster but it was definitely a big great white."

Sesto said the aim of the fishing trip was to get a 100kg-plus tuna because that is considered a barrel.
"I was on the rod for an hour and a half and we have actually seen the tuna on the surface three times so it was a tuna," the angler said.
"This big great submarine came over the tuna."

The group was close to landing the big tuna when the predator appeared and took a huge chunk out of the fish.
"The shark has just grabbed the tail," Sesto said.
"I'm just so obsessed with sharks they don't scare me."

Despite the fish being in the boat, the great white didn't leave.
"From all the blood dripping off the boat it just stuck around and started biting the motors.
"It was absolutely epic."
Sesto said it won't deter her from heading out on the water again.
"It's honestly been five years of targeting barrels and I've just had the worst luck," she said.
"But it still went 102 kg with no tail so it's still classified as a barrel."
