Four teenage boys who have missing for days have been found dead after their car was discovered "partially submerged in water" in the UK.

Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris were last seen on Sunday, travelling in a silver Ford Fiesta in the Porthmadog area in Wales.

North Wales Police Superintendent Owain Llewelyn told local media that their Ford Fiesta vehicle was found on its roof by a member of the public.

"Tragically the bodies of four young males were recovered from within the vehicle," he said.

"Whilst the search is concluded, there is an ongoing investigation to formally identify those within the vehicle and to understand what's led to this tragic incident."

The boys were heading towards Snowdonia National Park, north Wales for a camping trip, Llewelyn said.
