Part of the Canadian High Commission Office in Abuja has been gutted by fire. The cause of the fire outbreak on Monday as at the time of filing this report was yet unknown.
The office is situated at 13010G, Palm Close, Diplomatic Drive, Central Business District in Abuja.
It was gathered that the fire which broke out on Monday morning, led to the evacuation of staff from the building.
Details of the incident were sketchy as of this time of the report but the Head of Operations of the FCT Fire Service, Amiola Adebayo, said no fewer than three victims had been rushed to the hospital.
He said: “We have two fatally injured and the others in the hospital, either three or four.”
However, he did not state the cause of the inferno.
An attempt to get the High Commission to respond to enquiry about the inferno was unsuccessful.
The spokesman of the High Commission, Damilade Kosemani did not pick his call rather responded to test message drops on his mobile.
