After the success of the 2019 thriller film Oloture, Netflix and Mo Abudu have renewed their partnership with plans to release a sequel series following the life of ‘Oloture,’ the young journalist who had gone undercover to expose a world of exploited women.

The sequel will see Oloture take on a new challenge as she goes undercover for a story that once again puts her life on the line.

“The story will return to Netflix as a series, where Òlòtūré, a young journalist, continues her undercover work crossing the Benin border. Her perilous journey will take her through the hostile lands of Niger and Libya to the Mediterranean as she desperately tries to find a way out,” Mo Abudu revealed.

Oloture, the series will retain its star-studded cast featuring Sharon Ooja, Omoni Oboli, Beverly Osu, Stan Nze, Etim Effiong, Segun Arinze, Bucci Franklin and Efa Iwara.

Kenneth Gyang is set to make a return as the director. Meanwhile, Ted Abudu, lnem King, Josh Olaoluwa, and Sonia Nwosu will also be making a comeback as producers of the original film.
