The SES has responded to more than 1500 calls for help as storms and heavy rain continue to lash multiple states.
A pair of low-pressure systems are bringing inclement weather to south-eastern New South Wales and eastern Victoria.
Streets were turned into riverways in Swan Hill in northern Victoria, and the heavy weather is set to continue.

Weatherzone reported a 1500km storm band moving across Australia's south-east yesterday afternoon.
A crane struck by lightning in Fairfield, in Sydney's south-west, collapsed yesterday, with a crew on-site welding it back together in a cage hoisted aloft by another crane, this morning.
But it's Victoria that will be the epicentre of the current wild weather today, with Gippsland and the Surf Coast the two main areas of concern.

Up to 200mm of rain is forecast for both regions.
Damaging winds are also predicted in eastern Victoria.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a tumultuous end to the week in the eastern and central states, with storms flickering between Queensland, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.
However, the weather is expected to settle for the weekend.
