The death of two toddlers, who were found in a car in a remote Queensland town, has been described by Queensland Police as a "tragic accident".
Emergency services were called to a private property at Woorabinda, about 170 kilometres west of Rockhampton, where they first found an unresponsive two-year-old about 7.48pm last night.
The child was taken to Woorabinda hospital and was pronounced dead.

Emergency services returned to the scene where they found a second three-year-old child in the same car at 9.15pm, who was taken to hospital and also pronounced dead.
Detective Inspector Darrin Shadlow said residents found the two-year-old unresponsive sitting on the rear seat but the three-year-old wasn't initially found.
"The second child was laying down in the rear foot well of the vehicle and wasn't seen by the residents when they located the first child," Shadlow said.
Shadlow confirmed the children were related but were not brothers.
"The vehicle was in the rear yard of the residence so it appears it is a tragic accident with the children who have somehow gotten into the vehicle and have been there for some time.
"We will examine the vehicle meticulously in relation to the locks on the doors, all of that kind of thing.
"It is not a used vehicle so there was no electronics for the windows or anything like that."

Although it is too early to know the cause of death, Shadlow believes it could be from heat-related stress after initial investigations.
He confirmed people were home at the residence when the children were found.
"It is a tragic event for the community and also for the hospital staff and the first responders."
Police have established a crime scene at the property.
Investigations are ongoing.
