Police have recovered the wreckage of a plane crash that claimed the lives of two men in Victoria's Port Phillip Bay.
Recovery crews lifted a large part of the aircraft from the water this morning as a part of a complex operation.
The main body of the aircraft, which is about four metres wide and weighs about one tonne, was lifted by a crane and transported on a barge to Port Melbourne.

Police said any human remains, which are yet to be formally identified, will be recovered from the wreckage.
The plane will be examined by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
Two small planes collided over the bay before one crashed into the water on Sunday, November 19.
The plane was found off the shore of Mornington the following day.
The pilot, 56-year-old Stephen Gale from Brunswick, and 30-year-old cameraman James Rose from Surrey Hills, were the only two on board the plane at the time.
Investigators are still working to establish the exact circumstances of the crash.
