A man has been taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries after the vehicle he was driving left a south Edmonton road and collided with a street light Tuesday morning.
In a news release, city police said they received a 6:50 a.m. report of a vehicle travelling northbound on 113 Street that left the street and struck a light standard at 113 Street and 65 Avenue.
The man, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was treated on scene by EMS paramedics and taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police have closed 113 Street northbound from 60 Avenue while the EPS Major Collision Investigative Section (MCIS) investigates.
