Six people have died, and nearly a dozen have been injured, in a series of horror crashes across the country overnight.
In Queensland two people were killed in crashes in Ashgrove and Gladstone.
A 27-year-old motorcyclist crashed into a pole on Waterworks Road in Ashgrove early this morning.

He sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
In Gladstone, an 18-year-old man died in a single-car crash after rolling on the Bruce Highway, near Gentle Annie Road, at 6.30pm.
Two other passengers, aged 17 and 19, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and have been taken to Gladstone Hospital for treatment.
A man has also been badly injured in Lawntown, Moreton, after a scooter and car collided at the corner of Gympie Road and Lawnton Pocket Road.
The 28-year-old scooter rider sustained critical injuries and has been taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
In Victoria, three people have died and one has been injured in two separate crashes.
A crash in Chinkapook killed two people after a truck and a car collided near the Robinvale-Sea Lake Road and Chinkapook-Pier Millan Road intersection, at 5.30pm.
A man and a woman were found unresponsive inside the car by emergency responders.
The driver of the truck was also injured and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
In Templestowe, a 73-year-old e-scooter rider lost control while heading north on Riffey Street, and fell to the ground.
He was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

New South Wales has not seen any deaths yet during the holiday period, however overnight six people have been injured in a car crash in Milperra, NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Brett McFadden has confirmed.
Several people were trapped in the car, which crashed on Milperra Road at 2am, after a sedan allegedly travelling 140km/h slammed into a 4WD.
Milperra Road is a 70km/h zone.
Three children aged 10, 14 and 15 were pulled from the 4WD with serious injuries, along with a woman in her 40s.
Two 18-year-olds in the sedan, both aged 18, suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the sedan has been taken to Liverpool Hospital under police guard for mandatory testing.
McFadden said police have been extremely concerned over the amount of speeding they've observed.
"At this stage it is positive to report that we haven't lost any lives, however, the behaviour of some motorists on the road is just unacceptable," McFadden said.
"Our concerns really stem around the level of speeding that has been demonstrated across our community."
Meanwhile in South Australia, a woman has died following a crash at Steelton earlier this week.
The 80-year-old woman was a passenger in a Mazda Sedan, which crashed into a truck on Monday.
She died overnight, while the 70-year-old driver of the Mazda remains in hospital with serious injuries.
The truck driver, 28, suffered minor injuries.
