President Bola Tinubu has sympathised with the ruling Sabah family, the government, and the people of the State of Kuwait over the passing of the Emir, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah.
Applauding the achievements of the late Emir in such a short time, the President, in a release issued on Saturday by his Media Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, described the monarch as a man of great compassion, peace, and mercy, who granted amnesty to political prisoners and dissidents, fashioning a progressive and stable state.
President Buhari condoled with the ruling House of Sabah, and all those who mourn this painful loss while praying to Almighty Allah to show the Emir mercy and grant him a place in Aljannah Firdaus.
The President also sympathised with the government and the people of Borno State over the demise of the Waziri of Borno, Mustapha Mukhtar.
The Waziri, who served as the prime minister of Borno and Chief Adviser to the Shehu of Borno, died on Saturday.
President Tinubu condoled with the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin Elkanemi, over the death of his close lieutenant and senior palace official.
“The late Waziri lived according to the well-established family tradition of community service, upholding the values of the respected Elkanemi dynasty,” the President said.
President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of the dearly departed and comfort for those who mourn.
Also on Saturday, President Tinubu expressed grief over the passing of ace broadcaster, Kabiru Usman Fagge, who died on Friday in the United States of America.
Fagge, aged 77, was an enduring name across the Hausa-speaking world for his long career with the Hausa service of the Voice of America (VOA), spanning 25 years.
In a condolence message, President Tinubu lauded the contributions of the deceased to nation-building, particularly his sensitization on and advocacy for education through the well-known weekly education programme he anchored.
According to the President: “His desire to serve humanity through journalism started quite early from his days as a freelancer while teaching. We are grateful for his services through his chosen career and for being a good ambassador of Nigeria on such a global platform”.
President Tinubu condoled with the family of the deceased, the government, and the people of Kano State, as well as the Nigerian journalism community over the loss.

NEW instant noodles in town! Living in 3024 with the ez cook instant ramen machine. . 📍Le Fullsun, 1423 Rue Montcalm, Montreal . This modern convenience store lets you cook a ramen and eat it there for a quick meal. You could choose from a selection of 65 instant noodles and a big selection of toppings! I went for the samyang Korean potato ramen which had a great chewy texture. Do be warned, the toppings add up quickly since they range from $1-$3. And as any convenience store should, they also have snacks and drinks. I heard their banh mi was also really good! #ramen #conveniencestore #mtl #montreal #instantnoodles
