One month ago today, the Edmonton Oilers wrapped up a season-long 6-game home stand in desultory fashion, getting spanked 5-1 by Florida Panthers. It came on the heels of a 7-4 defeat by Tampa Bay Lightning where the Oilers did almost everything right except keep the puck out of their own net.
