City police are asking the public’s help to identify a man after four Edmonton bank robberies since October.
Police initially issued a release in November after an October robbery at a TD Bank on Ellerslie Road SW. Three more robberies followed: Dec. 22, Jan. 4 and Jan. 6, all in south Edmonton, police said in a Monday news release.
All of the robberies were carried out using the same methods, say investigators.
The robber wears a disguise, typically a blue medical face mask. He approaches a teller with a written note indicating he has a weapon and demands money. No weapon is produced during the robbery, investigators say.
The man is described as five foot seven, around 30 years old with black facial hair and a slim build.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact police at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
