Police have foiled another alleged murder plot against a member of Sydney's underworld.
Two men, aged 18 and 30, have been charged over an alleged plot to kill a man with known links to organised crime, aged 30, police said.
The alleged would-be shooter was set to receive a $400,000 payout for the gangland hit, Organised Crime Squad Detective Superintendent Peter Faux said today.

The alleged target's identity has been kept secret for his safety.
Sulaiman Ahmad, 18, was arrested following a warrant in Greenfield Park at 6am today.
He has been charged with conspiracy to murder and participating in a criminal group.
The 30-year-old man was arrested at a prison and taken to Maroubra Police Station, where he was charged with conspiracy to murder and participating in a criminal group.
Police will allege the older man was the intended gunman, while the 18-year-old was coordinating the alleged attack.

Police also found Glock pistols during searches this morning, which they allege were going to be used during the murder plot.
"We're actually getting in front of the game where we're stopping these murders from rather than investigating them after they've occurred," Faux said.
A third man is also suspected to be involved in the alleged murder plot, however, investigations are still ongoing.
The alleged hit is not linked to an alleged murder plot against four members of controversial rap group OneFour, police said.
