Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to a much-loved doctor who was killed following a home invasion in Melbourne.
Ash Gordon, 33, was stabbed and hit by a car after he took on the group who robbed his unit.
Gordon was left to die with horrific injuries in the middle of a Doncaster road.

His body was discovered less than a kilometre from his home.
While he pursued the thieves, his partner was on the phone to police.
A skin specialist, the young GP treated patients in Richmond and Box Hill.
Handwritten tributes left at the scene describe him as a "true gentlemen".
"Intelligent, compassionate, friendly and generous," one friend wrote.
"I truly thank you for all that you helped me with. Justice will be served and the devils who did this to you will rot in hell," another said.
Shoes and laptops were stolen during the break-in.
It's unclear if the computers held any patient records.

Police have stepped up patrols in the area.
Earlier on Saturday night, teens were seen running from a party up and down Sargent Street where Gordon lived.
On Wednesday, a woman living next door had her car stolen and around six weeks ago an elderly couple living on the same street were burgled.
At this stage police said they weren't investigating anything linked.
Earlier, they appealed for CCTV footage.
