An intruder armed with a large knife allegedly told a Brisbane father, "You are going to die," during a violent daylight home invasion.

Two allegedly armed intruders got out of a stolen white Hyundai and stormed a home in Daisy Hill about 1.45pm yesterday while a husband and wife were inside.

Video exclusively obtained by 9News shows the intruders allegedly armed with knives and threatening the pair before stealing their wallets, phones and cash.

Victim Richard McCooey recalled the horrifying ordeal, saying he was in the upstairs study when he heard a commotion downstairs.

"I went downstairs and was confronted by a masked man holding a very large knife," he told 9News.

"The knife was to my chest facing up to my neck and he said, 'You are going to die'.

"I then said, 'What do you want? I'll give you whatever you want,' and so I gave him my wallet with all the contents."

His wife screamed and begged for her husband's life as they were allegedly held captive by one intruder while the other rifled through their belongings.

The pair allegedly stole wallets, phones and cash before running out the door – which had been unlocked at the time of the incident – and into the stolen getaway car.

Police arrived at the scene only five minutes later but the offenders had since gone.

A manhunt is now underway.

It is understood the intruders are aged in their 20s and are wanted over an alleged string of home invasions and car thefts.

One of the home invasions happened just an hour prior to the incident at Rochedale South.

Residents who sight the intruders are urged to immediately dial Triple Zero and not to approach as they are considered armed and dangerous.

McCooey said he was hoping for quick arrests as investigations remain ongoing.
