On Sunday, the movie industry gathered at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England, for the 77th British Academy Film Awards, or BAFTAs, celebrating the finest national and international films of 2023.
Considered the most coveted honour in the British movie industry, the BAFTAs were hosted by “Doctor Who” star David Tennant. The film “Oppenheimer” was the standout of the night, winning seven awards, including the top honours for best film, best director, and best actor. “Poor Things” followed closely behind with five wins.
