Three hours later and acting on fresh information, police rushed to the Lion's Taekwondo Martial Arts Academy in North Parramatta.
Two other bodies, a woman aged in her early 40s and a seven-year-old child, were located about 1pm today.
Daking Street, where the studio is located, has been closed off as investigations continue.
Parents of students at the martial arts academy were sent a text message today to say classes had been suspended today while the chief instructor was in hospital.
The crime scenes are being treated as linked, police have confirmed.
Investigators have also confirmed the stabbing of another man last night is linked to their investigation.
He presented to Westmead Hospital with knife wounds after a reported stabbing at North Parramatta, not far from where the two bodies were found.
He is currently under police guard, as officers try to establish the exact chain of events.
Multiple crime scenes have been established and are being examined by forensic officers.
Police are expected to speak on the deaths at a media conference tomorrow.
