Silver Skate Festival: In its new digs at Laurier Park, the city’s longest-running annual winter festival includes a Snow Sculpture Garden, roving performers on the Folk Trail and weekend wood sculpture burns at 7:45 p.m. The Heritage Village — open Feb. 10-11, 17-19 — has blacksmiths forging, Tim Marusiak’s tipi knowledge-keeping and the Abraham Lake Singers, just to name a few highlights.
