A young woman has been charged with attempted murder after a baby was allegedly found with a stab wound near Ipswich, Queensland.
Police allegedly found a three-month-old infant with "what appeared to be a stab wound to the abdomen" in Ripley, near Ipswich, at 5.30am.
"Police provided immediate first aid and took a 26-year-old woman who resides at the address with the child, into custody without incident," Queensland Police said in a statement.

The baby is currently in a critical condition in Queensland's Children's Hospital.
The woman is in police custody and is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
A crime scene has been established as investigations continue.
