Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content & West Africa Channels at MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, has announced that the highly anticipated tenth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) will hold from Friday, May 10 – Saturday, May 11, 2024.
The media executive disclosed this at the AMVCA press conference that held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. The 2-Day event will consist of an opening night that celebrates culture, fashion and honours the nominees, while the award night will be held on Saturday May 11, 2024.
Following the theme of the 10th AMVCA, Busola Tejumola, during her speech, disclosed that the award show will be a ‘celebration of a decade of excellence’ and that the platform is still committed to creating opportunities for unique African stories and storytellers.
“Our commitment to continue creating the platforms and the opportunities for best-in-class entertainment remains unwavering. There are still many great, unique, and authentic African stories out there – untold – and it is our collective responsibility to birth those stories,” she said.
Meanwhile, Femi Odugbemi disclosed that the nominees list will be released on March 24, 2024. He further revealed that the award show’s categories have been streamlined to 27 categories and will be accompanied by two special recognition awards.
The AMVCA Jury will determine the winners of the Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress categories.
