An electric car has caused mayhem in a Sydney shopping centre, with reports the car suddenly reversed into a Myer shopfront in Liverpool Westfield.
Three people were hurt when a BYD electric car rapidly reversed from its place on a display stand.
A fourteen-year-old had been sitting in the car on the display stand, when it suddenly accelerated forward, hitting a glass panel before it reversed into the Myer shopfront, police were told.

A witness to the accident told 9news.com.au that loud bangs could be heard, before the car became embedded in the makeup counter of the Myer department store.
Several loud "bangs" in succession were heard, with smoke filling the air.
Two people were injured when the car rapidly reversed.
One man in his 50s was treated for minor head injuries and another man aged in his 30s was treated for chest injuries.
They were both taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Glass was also shattered in the shopping centre, falling to the food court several stories below.
Police established a crime scene outside the Myer store and are investigating the cause of the crash.
Officers spoke to the 14-year-old boy at the scene.
He was allowed to leave with a family member, while police continue to investigate. He has not been charged.
Safework NSW is also investigating the crash.
A third person was treated to minor injuries from the falling glass but was not taken to hospital.
The car is believed to be a BYD electric vehicle, a globally popular brand manufactured in China.
