Macca's restaurants around Australia are being majorly impacted because of an outage.
Many McDonald's stores around Australia were reported to be closed from around 4.30pm.
Several stores in Sydney, including Bondi Junction and Sylvania were unable to serve customers.
At Kingsford Macca's in Sydney one customer told 9news.com.au: "An employee asked everyone to pay at the counter. She's telling people who are trying to use the machine that the systems are down so they won't be able to see their orders come through."
One McDonald's worker in Sydney who spoke to 9News.com.au confirmed that their screens had shut down, and staff at the restaurant were taking orders in cash.
Another store in Bondi Junction reported at 6.50pm that their systems were working again, but others were still down.
Stores in Japan and New Zealand were also reported to be affected by the technology issue.
Media outlets in the Netherlands also reported that branches were closed.
There have also been reports of outages in the UK and the US.
The cause of the technology outage has not yet been revealed by McDonald's.
"We are aware of a technology outage currently impacting our restaurants nationwide and are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible," Macca's said in a statement.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience."
