A man who was allegedly stabbed in the neck in Sydney’s west last week later died in hospital, NSW police announced today.
Around 1pm last Sunday emergency services were called to a home on Rawson Road in Guildford after they received reports that a 46-year-old man had been stabbed with a knife.
The victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition, and a 47-year-old man was taken to hospital for assessment.
Police said that the 46-year-old man died in hospital on Wednesday.
The two men were believed to be known to each other.
Officers set up a crime scene at the Guildford and began investigations.
Following his release from hospital, the 47-year-old was charged with grievous bodily harm, breaching an Apprehended Violence Order and using a prohibited weapon.
The 47-year-old remains before the court, police said today.
Investigations into the stabbing are ongoing.
