The family of a mother who died on her way to work in Perth yesterday morning has called for drivers to be vigilant over the Easter long weekend.

Sarah was “a hard working, loving mother, and loving wife to her husband, who misses her greatly now”, he said.

Sarah’s family were building their dream home just around the corner from where the white Camry she was driving collided head-on with a Jeep Cherokee on Muchea East Road near Polinelli Road in Lower Chittering, about 5.10am.

The driver of the Jeep, a 54-year-old man, was also killed.

Sarah had been on her way to work at a service station.

Sarah’s niece shared a tribute on Facebook, saying: “Rest in peace, you’ll be missed by all.”

The shattered family has called for others to be safe on the roads this weekend.

“Just be careful out on the roads,” Nathan said.

“Best we can do is keep an eye out on the roads, and try our best to not be idiots.”

Police do not believe that either driver was under the influence or using their mobile phone at the time of the crash.
