A search for has been called off for a fisherman missing in a river near the coast of Western Australia
The 36-year-old man slipped off the rocks into the water at Cape Arid near the mouth of Thomas River, east of Esperance, about 2.20pm yesterday, police said.
He was with a family member at the time and has not been seen since.

Boats, jet-skis, aerial support and the SES scoured waters and land for the man.
"A number of resources including vessels, jet-skis and air assets are currently searching the surrounding area, with SES assisting on foot at nearby beaches," police said.
However the search has now been called off.
It's one of three water emergencies to unfold on WA's coast this Easter long weekend.
Emergency services are calling for people to take care, including wearing life jackets when in or near water.
