No other people were involved in the crash.
Road Safety Commissioner Adrian Warner urged drivers to take care over the Easter long weekend.
"While other people are waking up with a sense of excitement in anticipation this Easter long weekend, we've got families just north of Perth waking up to a very different scenario," he said.
"There is going to be many, many more cars on the road than normal, it's going to take you long so we need to control our choices."
Anyone with any information about the crash, or who saw the Toyota Camry or Jeep Cherokee travelling in the area prior to the crash, is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
