The crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano has taken a fresh dimension as new ward executives emerged from Ganduje ward, issuing fresh suspension on the acting National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The new group from Ganduje ward, Dawakin Tofa local government area of the state claimed to be the legitimate ward executives, legally and validly elected on 31st July, 2021.
Addressing newsmen in Kano, the Secretary of Ganduje ward, Ja’afar Adamu Ganduje who spoke on behalf of 11 other executive members explained that the suspension of the National chairman is necessitated on allegation of anti-party activities exhibited by him which led to division and failure of the party during the last election.

Detours via the Jacques-Cartier Bridge or local roads will be in place.</p><p><strong>Honoré-Mercier Bridge (Route 138)</strong><br/> From Friday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., only one lane will remain open in each direction on the bridge as crews work on the upstream span. Expect heavy delays, and consider alternate routes like the Champlain or Victoria bridges.</p><p><strong>Other closures to watch for this week:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <strong>Ville-Marie Expressway (R-136 westbound):</strong> One of four lanes closed at all times in the Viger Tunnel between Panet Street and the Sanguinet entrance due to overpass repairs.</li> <li> <strong>Saint-Urbain Street:</strong> Fully closed in both directions between Saint-Antoine and Viger at all times.
