Two men, including an on-duty paramedic, were hospitalised after a balcony collapse on Melbourne's Dandenong Ranges.

Victoria Ambulance paramedics, along with State Emergency Service volunteers, were called to a property on Tourist Road in Olinda about 6.30pm yesterday to treat a patient.

Four paramedics and two SES workers were treating a patient on top of the balcony when it suddenly gave way.

Two paramedics were assessed at the scene, and one was transported to hospital with minor injuries to their upper body.

No injuries were sustained by the SES members.
