A weapons complaint led officers to a fatally injured man in a north Edmonton residential neighbourhood early Monday, say police now seeking public tips.
Officers responding to the scene near 127 Avenue and 118 Street found the man suffering from a serious injury, police said in a Tuesday news release. The man was treated and transported to hospital by emergency crews, but later died.
Homicide detectives are now leading the investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
Detectives are seeking witnesses or evidence captured on security cameras as the case occurred in a residential neighbourhood.
