Matilda went to the three concerts in the city and met several people who were dressed up for the event.
Speaking about the project, she told Blog Preston: “As a Taylor Swift fan myself I had tried to get tickets but was unsuccessful. I therefore decided to instead celebrate and share the stories of those who were lucky enough to get tickets through my photography.
“I feel there are many photography projects, zines, and social media celebrating men and sporting, football culture whilst typically female communities and fan culture seems to be overlooked. I wanted my project to draw attention and celebrate the Taylor Swift fan community – the Swifties.
“People who had put months of hard work into their outfits, making forever memories with family and friends and I wanted to show other people the beauty of the event.
“I am so proud of the outcome and have been overwhelmed by the response from participants and also people on social media with people having spotted me taking pictures on the grounds and many others asking me to do the same at the London shows! I hope to continue this celebration of fan culture at different events in the future through my photography and social media.”
