The main route through Preston city centre is blocked by a broken down crane.
Close to the city’s Crown Court complex and the new Animate site – the vehicle has broken down across the carriageway heading towards the Holiday Inn junction at North Road.
Recovery crews are on the way but the crane is expected to be blocking Ringway for another hour or so.

"So far, the misalignment of air masses has kept major storms away, but that's about to change," he explains.</p>If this pattern holds, we can expect major snowfall and unpredictable conditions across the province.<blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-permalink="https://www.instagram.com/p/DFRCdxERiVm/" data-instgrm-version="4" style="background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:658px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);">
